Detail of box corner with grid markers in. The box is 4'x4' with 12" walls and an open bottom. The area beneath the box is covered with a weed barrier before the box is mixed with manufactured soil. This manufactured soil is equal parts peat moss, vermiculite and a mix of composts and manures. The grid of nine 4' "2x2" lumber divides the soil area into sixteen 1' square sections, each of which is planted with a different vegetable.
